Coronavirus Update

As reports of the coronavirus spread, people are experiencing widespread anxiety and concern. We at Forest Hills Pediatrics understand your concern. Most children seem to be experiencing mild symptoms. Common symptoms are fever, body aches, runny nose and cough. Often these symptoms can be managed at home with over the counter medications, fluids and rest. If you’re concerned that your child may have COVID-19 due to either a concerning travel history, known exposure or worsening symptoms, please contact our office so that we can direct you to an appropriate testing site.

In addition, due to concerns about minimizing the spread of infections we are changing our scheduling routine. Starting Tuesday March 17th, we will be scheduling well office visits in the morning and will see ill patients in the afternoon. Ideally, only one person should accompany each child to their office visit to prevent as much person to person spread of infection as is possible. This is subject to change, depending on COVID-19 updated recommendations.
